TWO PLAYS BY MAMET TO BE PERFORMED IN PALATINE!
"AMERICAN BUFFALO" AND "BOSTON MARRIAGE"

August 26, 2005

Palatine, IL - Two plays by David Mamet are coming to Cutting Hall for one weekend only! "American Buffalo" and "Boston Marriage" will be performed in rotating rep, Thursday through Sunday, September 15-18, at Cutting Hall, 150 E. Wood Street, Palatine. Patrons can make it a Mamet Marathon on Saturday and Sunday by viewing both shows on the same day with a 2-hour dinner break in-between.

IT'S A MAMET BATTLE OF THE SEXES! An all-male cast versus an all-female cast.

"American Buffalo,” the story of three desperate men and a botched robbery attempt, is classic, testosterone-fueled Mamet. This production is directed by Merle Weddle (Hanover Park) and features Joseph Bianco (Elk Grove Village), Daniel J. Dudych (Des Plaines), and Richard Geiger (Palatine). “Boston Marriage”, however, shows that Mamet knows how to write for the ladies! Set in a Victorian drawing room and filled with Wildean wit, this sexy comedy of errors centers on two society women, one hapless maid, and several illicit assignations. This production is directed by Julie Koerner (Northbrook) and features Cathleen Ann (Palatine), Holly Fishburn (Palatine), and Ashley Stricker (Arlington Heights).
